Journey Well Health and Wellness is supporting the November Shopping month with a great draw to be announced soon!
Winter in Canada can be long and hard for lots of folks and for lots of reasons. For some it can lead to Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), but even if we don’t have a diagnosis, it can still be challenging and affect our mood. When we each reflect on how winter affects us, there are things that we can do to help make the coming months of cold and short days easier to manage.
This preparation could be signing up for classes that will feed our creative side, setting up get-togethers with friends to feed our social side, establishing a routine that includes movement that feels good to our body, or making sure that we have supplies at home to soothe our system.
November is a great time to take this proactive approach because a) we are headed into holiday season, which brings its own elements of hard, and b) it hopefully gets out ahead of the negative effects we might feel from winter.
